1. Геномика, Протеомика и Системная биология;

2. Систематика, Эволюция и Экология;

3. Сенсинг, Сигнализация, Реакции на стресс и Мембранный транспорт;

4. Внутриклеточный трафик, Секреция, Органеллы, Аутофагия;

5. Продукция гетерологических белков;

6. Метаболическая инженерия в пищевой, химической и фармацевтической отраслях;

7. Нетрадиционные дрожжи в получении биотоплива;

First announcement

Dear Colleague!

It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the International Symposium “Non-Conventional Yeasts in the Postgenomic Era” that will be held in Lviv, Ukraine, on September 11-14, 2011. Symposium is organized by Institute of Cell Biology, NAS of Ukraine together with Ukrainian Society for Cell Biology and University of Rzeszow, Poland.

 This will be the fourth Symposium on Non-conventional Yeasts. The first Symposium was organized in Weimar (Germany) in 1986, the second one was held near Basel (Switzerland) in 1992, and the third Symposium on Non-conventional Yeasts was organized in Lviv (Ukraine) in 2001. The main goal of this fourth Symposium is to underline recent progress in the fields of yeast cell biology and biotechnology.

The International Scientific Committee consists of leading scientists in these fields from many countries from most continents. We expect participation in the meeting of many other established and young promising researchers. To help young scientists to attend the meeting, we offer special grants supported by FEMS. Symposium will be held in so named “cheap format”, i.e. registration fee (440 and 550 EUR, depending on sharing or not the double room) involves meeting attendance, materials, meals, reception, banquet, city tour and 3 night accommodation in Hetman hotel. Registration fee for young scientists is only 300 EUR.

We have done everything to ensure that the symposium will be a very interesting event highlighting the the most recent progress in studying non-conventional yeasts. A number of distinguished scientists (see the web site for details) will deliver lectures. Submitted presentations (oral and poster presentations) will be related to one of the following topics of the symposium:

1. Genomics, Proteomics and Systems Biology

2. Systematics, Evolution and Ecology

3. Sensing, Signaling, Stress Responce and Membrane Transport

4. Intracellular Traffic, Secretion, Organelles, Autophagy

5. Production of Heterologous Proteins

6. Metabolic Engineering for Food, Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals

7. Non-conventional Yeasts for Biofuels
